I’m Nicole, your Evergreen Doula.

In 2022 I gave birth to my daughter, launching me into a newfound passion for birth work.

A lifelong Olympia local I am steeped in our community and have an extensive network to pull from when referring you to additional supportive services. I earned a BA and MPA from The Evergreen State College and my professional experience prior to becoming a doula has been a combination of social service work with youth and families, animal rescue work, and nonprofit leadership and management.

Before becoming a doula I worked in nonprofit leadership, running a local youth serving organization for ten years before it unfortunately was forced to close during the COVID era. My background in executive level nonprofit management prepared me to juggle numerous priorities, advocate strongly for my client’s wishes, and remain calm in any situation.

I was very lucky to have the opportunity to participate in professional doula training offered by The Doula Team, with Diksha Berebitsky and Stacey Callahan, and to have the opportunity to continue my education with an extensive mentorship with Diksha Berebitsky, of Blissful Birth Initiations. I am a state certified doula who is also a Medicaid approved provider.

In my free time I love to be outdoors doing just about anything, but I particularly enjoy creating and adding to the permaculture gardens at my family’s farm and spending time with my daughter, husband, and our three dogs playing outside in the fields and forests of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

I also spend as much time as I can manage to on my beloved Big Island of Hawaii.
